Carpet is famously signed Saber, one of the greatest master weavers in city of Mashad. Acquiring masterpiece like this, knowing it's history is very special and rare. Mosque carpets are not bought until Mosque decide to sell or give it as a gift. It can take a life time for Mosque to change their carpet this one is in great condition. It has some very interesting highlights that look like silk but are made from wool since it is (haram) for Muslim men to wear silk.
